If you are you thinking about new home construction in the St. Louisarea, aside from the many advantages of buying new, the exciting lifestyle in and around St. Charles County is a great reason to settle with your family here.
One of the most exciting family fun weekends residents in the area look forward to every year is the St. Charles County Riverfest. This annual event is hosted at the Fourth of July holiday and is the best way to celebrate our Nation’s independence. Community members are invited to enjoy a carnival, food trucks, live music, family-friendly activities, a fireworks show over the Missouri River, and a parade along Main Street.
For new residents who have just moved in to their new home construction in St. Louis at one of Rolwes communities, or if you are considering a quick delivery home to be in by the end of June, this year, you’ll can be a part of the fun at the St. Charles County Riverfest on Wednesday, July 3rd and Thursday, July 4th.
For residents unfamiliar with this spectacular Fourth of July event, the best parking options are at the Lewis & Clark Boat House lot, Saint Charles City Hall parking garage, on Main Street, and the public parking lots around town. Please note that shuttle service will not be available for the Fourth of July festivities.
Live music isn’t the only entertainment you can expect. On both days, families will be entertained by Way Cool Balloons, Visit from Fredbird, Flipside Gymnastics Ashley Aerialists, and Bubble Bus. Additionally, a carnival by Fountain City Amusements will include all of your favorite rides and games with something for everyone.
On July 4th, the big parade begins at 10 am featuring marching bands, floats, military honor guards and more. To score a spot in the front row, arrive early in the morning and secure your place with lawn chairs, blankets, and American flags.
Families with children can head to the Katy Depot in Frontier Park for a number of age-appropriate activities. Kids can participate in arts and crafts, puppet shows, balloons, games, and more. The children’s area is open throughout the entirety of Riverfest on both days.
Of course, the highlight of any Independence Day event is the fireworks. The St. Charles County Riverfest fireworks display is truly a sight to see. On July 4th, the fireworks show begins at 9:20 pm. The display can be seen from anywhere in Frontier Park as fireworks are launched from a barge on the Missouri River.
